Delivered volume (FAD) versus Intake volume

Atlas Copco's ZS+ blowers are measured according to ISO 1217 Ed 4., stipulating the Free Air Delivery (FAD) measurement at the outlet of the package, net of all losses. Atlas Copco specifications correspond to the capacity and pressure the customer receives, not to the intake volume of the blower. Differences are often very substantial.

Intake Volume Im3/min - Icfm - Im3/hr: Intake volume refers to the blower element inlet conditions. Seal leakages and other losses are not included. It is not a true representation of what air is being delivered.

Delivered Volume (FAD) m3/min - cfm - m3/hr: Delivered flow refers to the true Free Air Delivered measured according to ISO1217 Ed. 4. A ZS+ blowers delivers the air that is promised.
